10 smiles

Coming up with ten things a day to smile about isn't difficult for me anymore. I love looking at life with a positive outlook. Even in the crappy stuff, there's something to smile and laugh about. I'm so grateful to have met such a wonderful man and be able to be a small part of his kid's lives. We take them to the park to feed ducks. Those damn geese bit Karli once, scared the crap out of her. Walker has developed a little bit of 'gangsta' with the help of his father. The cutest part is when he's wearing this little bandana, crying cuz he's in trouble and screams, "I don't want to Daddy! No thank you!" How can you say no to that? Somehow he does it.
Summer has been wonderful and I'm so excited for fall!

Tay's Birthday

Scott's niece, Taylor, had her second birthday on the 5th of July. She's such a chunk! We had a water day for the kids and broke out the slip-n-slide!

4th of July

Scott and I got to have Karli and Walker over the 4th of July. We spent it with his family at his 92 year old Grandma's house. They loved the sparklers! Poor Walker wasn't so sure about the actual fireworks unless he was standing behind his dad.

Karli's Birthday

Karli turned six! We celebrated by having a BBQ at Scott's mom's with her cousins! She's the sweetest thing and a blessing in all of our lives.

Marker Faces

A couple nights of poker night with Scott's sister Emily, her husband Jason and his brother Mike turned into kids drawing on adults faces with magic markers.

Moab

Scott and I randomly decided to one night take a trip down to Moab. We went with nothing but the clothes on our backs. I had never been and after driving all night got to wake up to gorgeous scenery. I fell in love with all the activities and the countryside.

Long awaited posts...

I know I've been neglectful of my blog....way neglectful. I've been super busy with my wonderful job at Hollywood Body MD and with my amazing boyfriend and his kids, Karli and Walker. I've had a fabulous summer. There have been some hard times, such as my cousin Josh Ward and my Grandpa both dying. I keep their memories close to me, though it may not seem that way. I know they want us all to keep living and laughing. Enjoy the pictures and updates!

A little later...

Well, Mother's Day is coming up. I've been a constant chaotic mess trying to make time go by faster so I don't have to think about it. Well, it definitely caught up to me. I went to a Mother's Day dinner for birth mom's put on by FSA (Families Supporting Adoption) and I lost it. For like an hour or more. Poor Scott had to deal with me afterwards. Haha! He managed well. We're doing fabulous by the way! We went on a recent trip to Moab randomly and have both been busy with work, each other, and, not often enough, his kids. Here's a recent pic of us. I'll update more later. I have to get to work. Just wanted to let the blogging world know I'm somewhat alive and kicking.

So, I got to have a ...:FABULOUS:...visit from my friend Jackie. She was driving through Salt Lake on her way up to Washington and spent a few nights at my place. Jackie, Amy, and I all went out dancing (it took a lot of coaxing to make them realize it really was a good idea). Well, I was right, and it was a good idea...

I realized I haven't completely lost all of my pool playing skils when Randy, Amber, Scott, and I went out to dinner and played pool together. Yep, that's my man...

I got to spend St. Patty's Day with Lorna and Aveon, which was cool...haven't seen them for a bit.

Amy, Kallie, and I went to Metal Gods. It's this insane 80's butt-rock night at Liquid Joe's in Salt Lake. The costumes the band was wearing...seriously priceless. We're talking wigs with dreads, cut-off/mid-drift baring tops, and some insane red-spandex I wish I could pull off.

And then there's this angel

Well, my mother is in Puerto Rico having a wonderful time, so I got to spend a day watching my dear little brother and sister. We went to the park and I got both of them to climb up the rock wall, which, sadly, I didn't get a picture of. I was making sure they didn't fall though, so I have a legitimate excuse.

Always the poser

And the HILARIOUS face I FINALLY caught on film
